Rev. Henry Roxby Maude Henry was born on 27 September 1799, the son of Thomas Maude and Jane Roxby, at Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland. He entered Trinity Hall College, Cambridge University, on 27 February 1823. He was ordained Deacon in 1826, Priest in 1827, and P. C. of Arkendale, Yorkshire in 1827. Married Jane Meux, daughter of Thomas Meux, on 3 Oct 1829. Thomas Maude, b. abt 1830 c. 23 Feb 1831 in Arkendale. Henry Meux Maude, b. 18 May 1832 in Arkendale.
